WHICH IS THE TARGET OF A PROCESS AUDIT?
The main objective of the process audit is to carry out a specific evaluation of a production process to ensure that the supplier is ready to start serial production in accordance with the requirements of quality regulations and also to evaluate the process after detect a quality problem.
This includes reviewing procedures, work instructions, controls and systems used in production.
Additionally, process auditing can detect potential risks in the manufacturing process and propose solutions to mitigate them.
To carry out this audit, various tools are used to evaluate both the efficiency and quality of the manufacturing process.
These tools include review of documentation and records, interviews with key personnel, and direct observation of the process in action. Statistical analysis and other evaluation methodologies are also used to obtain a clear picture of the efficiency and quality of the process.
During the audit, the inputs, outputs and key performance indicators (KPIs) of the analyzed process are examined, allowing a comprehensive evaluation of the process and the identification of areas that require improvements or adjustments.
Once the audit is completed, a detailed report is prepared summarizing the findings and recommendations.
Recommendations may include optimizing resources, implementing new technologies, or restructuring processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
